The first stage of planning any wedding is to decide the season in which to hold your special day. Many things can affect your choice which you may not have considered.
Super Summer Weddings
The obvious choice is to go for the summer season; schools have broken up and your guests will love it!

1. Availability - so book well in advance!
2. Guests may have already booked holidays

Sparkling Spring Weddings
Sometimes overlooked, Spring can offer an excellent choice to many, especially with bank holidays and half terms in the mix. You may also find this to be a more cost-effective option if you're working to a budget.

+ Pros:
1. The weather should be warm and dry
2. Spring Flowers
3. Enjoy garden games
4. Eat al fresco on the Terraces
5. Wisteria Avenue in bloom?
6. Easter and Bank Holidays provide long weekends
7. Easier on the budget

- Cons
1. Guests may have already booked holidays

People do worry about April showers, however they're often short and don't interrupt the day dramatically.
Colourful Autumn Weddings
Late Summer and Autumn is a beautiful time to enjoy your wedding. September and October often have lovely warm days and when the leaves start to change on the trees the views from Glenfall House turn into a palette of Canadian colour.

2. Autumnal colours
3. Enjoy garden games

5. Log fires if its cool

1. Can be a busy wedding period so book early!
Cosy Winter Weddings
And don't forget, a winter wedding can be a very special thing indeed. There's usually a good availability, particularly in January and February. A lot of people would welcome an opportunity to celebrate something after the madness of the Christmas break.

2. Roaring log fires
3. Beautiful photography options
4. Eases the January blues
5. Log fires if its cool
6. Easier on the budget
7. Let it snow!!!!

- Cons
1. A little cool perhaps, but do check out some wonderful winter wedding outfits!
